Maybe one of the larger projects we were involved. The operation consisted to import of dimensional lumber from Europe to USA. We started with a small vessel of 20,000 tons to decrease the transit time of a regular shipment schedule for a major US distributor of building products.
We developed an internal operation in Brazil using returning trucks, to move coffee from Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo to the port of Santos.
With our integrated logistics, we are able to provide a competitive and reliable solution to qualifiedbuyers all over the world. We developed a product for Asia, to supply wood chips and wood logs, from certified FSC commercial forests in Brazil. The constraints to wood supply to Asia are related to logistics, environmental issues and political interference.
The energy costs around world are increasing due to many political and economic reasons. However; due to current technologies our dependency on fossil fuels, and government direct interference, should not have the same impact as used to have some years ago.
